City Hall, Public Works, and Park Offices Closing to Public Effective March 19th until Further Notice-For details please click here

To reduce potential spread of COVID-19, the City of Boone will be closing City Hall, Public Works and Park Offices effective March 19th, 2020 until further notice. City staff will still be working and providing city services. For water and Building services please follow details below. All building permit questions and requests from the Building Department shall be completed through the city website, or by telephone.

Utility Billing payment options during this period include:

  • ACH (Automated clearing House) and E-check automatic bill payments will continue as regularly scheduled.
  • Payments may be made online at boonegov.com. E-check payments and credit cards will have no fee.
  • Checks can be mailed to: City of Boone, Po Box 37548, Boone, IA 50037-0548 for Utility payments.
  • Checks can be mailed to City of Boone, PO Box 550, Boone, IA 50036 for Building Department payments.
  • At the drop box located in the alley behind City Hall. (Please do not put cash in the drop box).

In addition, the city of Boone has suspended water shut-offs temporarily. This will not alleviate the bill, as late fees will continue to be charged until the balance is addressed.

Contractors in need of water meters can contact the Water Department at 515-432-4211 Option 2.

Customers starting, transferring or stopping water service may do so at www.boonegov.com.

Customers with other questions can call the Utility Billing department at 515-432-4211 Option 2.
